Decking Material
You have three basic choices for your Deck material. Wood, Vinyl, or plastic compressed with sawdust.
WOOD
There are several types of wood suitable for your deck. Click on the names for more info.
Vinyl
Vinyl can be used to cover existing decks or to create new ones. Vinyl is not the cheapest route, but it does last a lifetime, with little to no maintenance. Roughly 4 times the cost of a treated deck but cheaper than Walnut.
The plastic compressed with sawdust I do not recommend and therefore you will find no information on it at this website. It looks ok but gives false security. You must maintain it much like wood and it lasts about the same amount of time IF you take care of it. Many people forget there is wood mixed in with it and neglect it.
